How the Marriage Covenant works

Everything you need to make a covenant — in your browser or with your AI assistant: the designs, what is free and what is paid, languages, privacy and signing.

What this site is

Marriage Covenant is Publifye's site for making a ceremonial marriage covenant: one beautifully typeset page with your names, your vows, a verse of Scripture, the date and place, and lines for you and your witnesses to sign. You make it here in your browser, or with the AI assistant you already use; either way Doksi, Publifye's document service, checks every detail and typesets the PDF.

A covenant is a keepsake of your promises. It is not a civil marriage certificate and does not register a marriage — every covenant says so in a small line at its foot.

Make it in your browser

You do not need an AI assistant: the builder on this site takes you through it in four steps and shows your own page as you type.

  1. Choose a design, and keep or switch off each of its paintings.
  2. Write your names, the date and the place, your vows — your own words or a suggested wording — a verse of Scripture and your witnesses.
  3. Watch the preview: your own page, set by the press and marked as a preview. It is free, and your draft is kept as you go.
  4. When it is right, sign in and make the print-ready covenant (see what is free and what is paid below). Then download it, email it to yourself, share a link or ask for signatures.

Every covenant you make is kept under My covenants, where you can rename it, open it again in the builder or delete it. A deleted covenant can be restored for 7 days.

Connect your AI assistant

Your assistant reaches the marriage covenant service through an MCP connector at this site's own address. Add it once, sign in with your Publifye account, and it is there in every conversation.

Connector address https://marriage.publifye.com/mcp

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector.
  2. Paste the address above. Sign in with your Publifye account when you are asked — or create one; it is free.
  3. Ask your assistant to make a marriage covenant and answer its questions. It asks for anything that is missing.
  4. Other assistants that support MCP connectors work the same way: the address is all they need.

Through it your assistant can show you the designs, check your wording, make the free preview and — once you have a pass, a credit or a plan — the print-ready covenant; and it can list, rename, share, email or send for signing the covenants you have made.

The designs

Twelve designs, painted in watercolour or finely drawn. Name the one you want and your assistant sets your covenant in it; every design comes in A4 and in A3 for framing.

What is free and what is paid

Free with a Publifye account: every design, the wording check and a full preview of your covenant, marked as a preview. No card is needed.

The print-ready covenant, without the preview mark, needs one of three: a 7-day marriage pass (as many covenants as you like for a week), one Doksi credit, or a Doksi plan.

Languages

A covenant is typeset in English or Norwegian. You choose the language of the document, and the default verse and the fixed wording, such as the ceremonial line at the foot, follow it.

This site is available in English, Norwegian, Spanish, Chinese and Korean, and your AI assistant can talk with you in your own language while you prepare the covenant.

Privacy and email

Once your print-ready covenant is paid for, you can have it emailed to you — from My covenants, or by asking your assistant. It goes only to the address of the account you signed in with, never to anyone else. Free previews are never emailed.

The download link is private and never listed or indexed — but anyone you give it to can open it, so share it with care.

Signing

The two of you and your witnesses sign in ink on the printed page. If you prefer, the builder or your assistant can also give each person a personal signing link or QR code to sign on their phone. Signing is optional, and capturing a signature does not verify anyone's identity.
